Sailor Stitch Brewing Co. Packaging

For this project I created a brewing company called Sailor Stitch, for which I developed a brand for and designed the logo and packaging (four-pack carrier, labels, neckbands, and bottle caps, as well as all the illustrations on the packaging).

My concept for the project was driven by the drunken, salty sailor. I developed a brand story to help explain the design decisions I made for the brewery:

Navy Sailors Dan Sullivan and Jerry Jones, the founders of Sailor Stitch, opened their brewing company in 1998. Their friendship had an unconventional beginning. In the navy they were rivals, to say the least, both hot-tempered sailors who butted heads on nearly everything. One night at the bar a brawl broke out between Dan and Jerry over a game of pool. They both ended up in the ER. Stuck in the same hospital room they actually got to know each other, thus their unlikely friendship had begun. Years later, after they had returned home from duty, the bar they had frequented while in the service was shut down. Dan and Jerry opened up Sailor Stitch in its place, so their fellow salty sailors always had a place to have a quality beer and the occasional brawl.
Thanks for checking out my Sailor Stitch Brewing Company packaging!
